Excellent representation of one of the most iconic villains of the '80s
Megatron is one of my favorite Transformers characters, and one of my favorite villains of all time period... so when I saw a high-quality figure of him for sale at a decent price, I knew I had to have him. And I was not disappointed. This version of Megatron still looks very close to his G1 self, but nicely updated to accommodate a new alt mode and appeal to a new generation of collectors. And he's a figure that both kids and adults can enjoy.Megatron's color scheme isn't known for being terribly bright (unless you get his G2 green-and-purple repaint), but it's still nicely done, with weathering and "battle damage" added for detail and striking red highlights. The sculpting is phenomenal, capturing his face and the intricate details of his body very well, and he has plenty of articulation for good posing. I haven't transformed him, as he came in robot mode and I tend to display my figures in robot mode, so I can't comment on the transformation process. My only nitpicks with this figure would be that his head has a tendency to sink into his torso without warning and he has little articulation in his wrists. But these are minor complaints. Otherwise Megatron is an excellent figure good for collectors and kids alike, and certainly worthy of one of the most iconic villains of the '80s.

Hail Megatron!
The leader and founder of the Deceptions, Megatron is driven by the desire to bring order by tyrany. A skilled warrior and tactician, Megatron is arrogant, but no so prideful as to retreat from a losing battle. Not known for subtlety, Megatron is know as "the Slag Maker" and "the Scourge of Cybertron," and will crush any one or any thing in his path. It is not known, after centuries of war, how much of his original goal is altrustic, or a cover for his desire for greater personal power. The Classics Megatron was a Nerf gun. The Combiner Wars Megatron was bigger than most of the combiners, which didn't work well for me. Titans Return Megatron wasn't terrible, but Megatron would never rely on another for power, and there were some issues I had turning him into a jet.But this, this feels like Megatron. He actually looks like Megatron from the 80s, is the same size as the Classic Optimus Prime figure, and yet, I don't think the figure loses anything from this. This is a Megatron that can fight Prime, and Starscream could betray without seeming like a giant, but still seeming like a warrior. I love the sword. It adds to an intimidation factor. This is a weapon that has slashed through many Autobots. The transformation into a tank takes a bit of getting used to, but proves simple enough and looks really good. This is a really good Megatron.

Best Megatron by Hasbro
Hasbro has really upped their game and have been listening to the fans who still choose to collect their line instead of 3rd party figures. The sculpt and articulation for Megatron is great, the weapons unobtrusive, and look like weapons and not a gimmick. Megatron’s articulation can easily allow him to take iconic poses. The tank mode transforms solidly, and overall the engineering is well done on this and so far all figures of this line. The added muzzle flash and damage effects will add a lot of character to this line as they come in stock as well.My only complaint is the “unnatural” wear added to the figure. A wash would have been more welcome as the silver paint strokes blend in with the sculpt and are only really seen in certain lighted conditions.Hasbro has increased the prices of these figures but I think they are headed in a good direction and I look forward to the resto of this line.

The 7-inch figure is highly detailed and features an impressive transformation that turns Megatron into a futuristic tank. The attention to detail on this figure is truly impressive, with intricate detailing on the sculpt and paint job that gives it an authentic and high-quality look. The articulation is excellent, allowing for various poses and action scenes. One of the standout features of this figure is the transformation into a futuristic tank. My son loves to transform it back and forth and create exciting scenarios and battles with other Transformers toys. The quality of the figure is top-notch, with sturdy and durable materials that seem built to last. The figure feels solid and well-constructed, which is important regarding toys that will be played with and handled often.Overall, the Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Siege Voyager Class WFC-S12 Megatron Action Figure is an excellent choice for any fan of the Transformers franchise. Not bad. Feels a little hollow like the Optimus Prime of this line.
This Megatron has the best articulation in the legs I have seen in this series yet. But he feels hollow. Which is little dissapointing. He has a great Gen 1 look that has been expanded upon, and that is good thing. His weapons have a great look and feel even though the sword is new.His seems good enough. It's just with the hollows that I think they could have done better. Megatron is one of the two MAJOR characters. The Soundwave of this line is Rock solid to me. As a case in point to compare Megatron to. Why not make Megatron as solid as Soundwave or Thundercracker?Still a good addition though. He's plenty good for the cost. If it adds anything I won't be parting with my Seige WFC figures ever. They are like Gen 1 figures in steroids. AGood Megatron.
