Excellent Video quality + Dolby audio solution!
I have gone through evaluating 5 different video projectors to replace my aging unit focusing on getting an upgraded video display(high brightness + high contrast). This Happrun product produced the best image quality in my assessment for projectors in this price range. My original set up was to plug my streaming source, Apple TV 4K, into the projector’s HDMI port and assign audio to 2 Apple HomePods driven by the ATV. This arrangement meant I could focus on video quality for the projector and ignore projector’s audio capabilities. However, in this update, I added an Amazon Fire Stick as a streaming source to augment the ATV. This presented a predicament for audio as the Fire Stick sourced content could not be routed to the HomePods. So….my initial thoughts concluded that I had to find a projector with desired video output PLUS the ability to deliver surround sound to an external speaker system. The thinking was for projector to accept up to 4K video from HDMI interfaced streaming sources and pass it on to external speaker which meant using an optical connection or an HDMI-ARC interfaced streaming sources. This is where I ran into a problem with Happrun unit as it is not designed to support processing 4K video and surround sound audio and does not have HDMI-ARC interfaces for passing high bandwidth encoded data OUT. So I initially started a return until I got a very timely suggestion from Celia, at Happrun tech support. The suggestion was to re-position streaming sources to external speaker, allowing the soundbar in my case, to be responsible for processing audio, and just having it pass video to projector/TV to handle video duties ONLY. Made so much sense, I canceled my return to pursue this approach. This is much more ideal as projector design requirements can be contained and focused at video performance and speaker device becomes responsible for audio. This decoupling of video and audio responsibilities now make the solution very modular and efficient for future upgrades. For example, if native 4K or higher brightness projectors become available at attractive price points, one can just swap out the projector w/o worrying about the audio requirements being tied to the projector replacement. The end result is total success and 5 stars!

Great simple projector
I recently purchased this projector to be able to have the ability to watch TV anywhere in my house. It’s compact and light design makes it easy to transport and the auto keystone works well. Each time I set the projector up I get a crisp aligned image regardless of how it’s placed. While the image is understandably dimmer in bright rooms, it is visible. In dimmer rooms even with some natural light, the projector really shines. No matter the content, sitcoms or children’s animated shows the colors and vivid and well balanced.I have tested viewing content through both the HDMI connection and screen mirroring through an iPhone, both which work equally well. Note that while an HDMI cable is included, no other AV cables are included. Another nice feature is the Bluetooth connection for audio. The integrated speaker works fairly well but being able to connect to a stronger output gives valuable flexibility for an enhanced viewing experience.Overall the projector offers excellent performance, convenience, and value, making it a good choice for home viewing.

Great projector! Even better value!
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the HAPPRUN JQ820 projector. I immediately set this up in my room, and replaced a Benq 1080p projector. The first thing I noticed was how fast the projection came up. It starts to project much sooner than my previous projector. Once I dialed in the zoom, keystone, and focus, I was very impressed with the picture quality. The projector was placed under a couch, which essentially hides it. It is located 10'4" from my wall, and projects a 115" image. I connected a streaming stick through the HDMI port without any issues. It works as you would expect. I connected my audio through the 3.5mm jack.I watched some videos during the daytime to see if it was possible. With my previous projector, the picture was very dim, making viewing difficult. With the JQ820 projector, watching during the day was impressive! All of the pictures and videos provided were taken during the day. The first pictures show the quality with my blinds completely open with lots of light. Even when I closed my blinds, there was still light in the room. The picture looks even better at night when there is no light coming into the room.I also was able to use the screen share feature using my Android phone, which also working as expected. I played some games from my phone (using an emulator) with a game controller, and it was mind blowing. I was "testing" this feature for a few hours. There is nothing like playing old school games on a projector. Childhood dream came true! For the money, there is no better option. My Benq projector cost me 4x the price of the JQ820, and the JQ820 beats out the Benq in all aspects. I would not hesitate to purchase this again.
