works for cat 5 and other connections. pass through seems to be good, no loss of bandwidth. easy to install and good value for the cost.

I have some Ethernet cable runs in my house and a couple of them were a little short of where I needed them to be. I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. I've used to extend a couple of runs, and they work perfectly. All the adapters worked, and I don't see any packet loss or degradation using these. These are plug and play so installation is a simple as plugging in one end and another. I would recommend these to anyone looking to extend their Ethernet line.

tested them. all work. high speed. The connection on some of the ports is pretty tight, kind of have to jam the cable in.

We have a huge limestone fireplace in the middle of our renovated 1950's rancher. Getting a wifi signal through thisonolith is impossible. We decided to hard wire all of our TVs with quality ethernet cables. These adapters allowed us to connect smaller lengths of Cat 6 cables without sacrificing internet streaming speed because of a break in the cable. They are heavy, sturdy connectors. I had other cheap plastic ones but the connections were not great. These create a seamless "splice" without actually cutting the cable and trying to splice on another few feet.I would recommend. I was surprised at the great quality for the reasonable le price.

If you need a quick Ethernet extension to connect your laptop to a plc that’s in a lame spot to reach in a pinch these work great. Idk if id put them in permanent but I guess I don’t see why not.
