I Replaced All My Travel Lights with This!
It's so freaking good. I wish I had this light years ago.I previously had the Zhiyun Molus X100 for 2 weeks and found it a bit bigger than I thought, too harsh on the eyes without a diffuser, and a little hard to operate and get consistently light.I think this device came out only a few weeks ago but I immediately bought it. It's smaller and more compact, it has so many lighting features outside of simple RGB adjustments, and it's actually a creative asset I didn't realize I needed. Its features are inspiring me to create more and develop new lighting ideas for videos and photos. It comes with a diffuser filter, a grid diffuser as well (for more directional light), and flaps for EVEN MORE light control. They're all attached with magnets so you can configure it in any way you need. I just keep them all on there always and it works. Also it's magnetic on the back of the case so you can stick it to most metal surfaces to mount it without anything else! Super convenient depending on your filming location! Also I LOVE that the light comes with 3 shoe mounts. So if you need this on your camera rig, you literally don't lose any shoe mount space but in fact gain extra mounts for little accessories. It's very compact if you take it apart fully - but it's already small enough to be fully assembled and fit into a nice small corner of my camera bag.Battery Life: It filmed for 40 minutes straight and only dropped 1 bar. I don't have the app so I am unsure how long the battery lasts. I'm conservative with my batteries so I never have it on for too long. But it's got USBC input as well so I can always plug it in and run it indefinitely. It's quiet! you'll hear a little bit when the fan kicks on in full gear if you're using a strong light at max brightness/saturation, but nothing noticeable from more than a couple feet away.I am genuinely so happy with this light and I keep showing my friends even though they don't know anything about camera lights. I think this is such an innovative feat for mobile lighting solutions especially for travel filmmakers.I might buy a second one tbh.

Great little light for still photography and video.
This is a great little light, and so versatile. Although it has a quarter-inch mount and a bunch of cold shoes, you can't really mount it on a camera. The fan is too noisy for video and the vibrations not ideal for focusing stills. At full power, its non-replaceable batteries only last about half an hour, but if you connect it to a power bank and mount it to a light stand, small tripod, or anything metal (the cage is magnetic), or even just put it on a surface, you're good to go for about an hour and a half of continuous light. The app is absolutely necessary to get full function out of it, and a bit tricky to set up, but Zhiyun customer service is top-notch -- they called me the day after I contacted them to see if I got and understood the additional documentation they sent, which is remarkable. Once you create a "set", the app is very easy to use and I can jump right into it without having to get familiar with the interface again, even if I haven't used it in a while. The little cage and included accessories are ingenious. I've used it to bounce light off of an umbrella, and to replaced the jury-rigged and precarious lighting setup I used to use for macro photography (for small objects for scientific documentation, not nature photography; I suppose you could use it for fill outdoors, but I've never tried it).

Very impressive
I was skeptical as I initially found this M20 in an instagram ad, but decided to give it a try as I’m doing some traveling soon and trying to make sure I can accomplish as many photo/video opportunities as possible.I have a few of the cheaper ~$30 LED cube lights already, but was drawn to this one by the magnetically attached modifiers, and the magnetism of the body itself (which hopefully means it will be easier to get around without a light stand).Making any association between this and the other cubes seemed silly as soon as I got this out of the box. The Zhiyun M20 is a decent amount bigger in every dimension, but even with the modifiers packs into a reasonable size. The light output blows the cheaper cubes away- this thing gets seriously bright. The quality seems really good overall, it has a nice heft but I wouldn’t call it heavy.I have not had it out on a shoot yet nor have I played with the app, but the on-body controls are pretty intuitive and work well. The screen makes it very easy to see what’s going on. After my trip, I’ll update this review with how it did.The only con I can think of right now is that in a few minutes of use, the fan kicked on and it wasn’t completely silent. If you are working on a very quiet set then this might be an issue for you, but I don’t think it’s going to matter for what I do.

Very well design and compact. Ready on the go. Live the extended frame for more light.

Great little light
Great little light! Built great (it seems). Fan is quiet, though I am using it for still photography anyway. Throws a lot of light. Modifiers are nice too. Battery is decent.
