Good for use for model aircraft stand
I didn't buy this item for its intended purpose. I wanted to make a stand to mount model aircraft for wargames, for larger (1/72 scale) aircraft models. This item proved to be perfect for the job. The cap unscrews easily so that the clip can be removed. The cap itself has the projecting screw element, and can mounted on the base (though its rounded bottom makes this harder than it might be), so that the arm can be screwed into it. Or you can mount the arm directly onto the stand. The magnet at the other end is powerful enough and it is also has a reasonable diameter (about 1cm). All you need to do is to attach some form of steel fixing, like a washer, to the model.

This pen-like telescopic pick-up tool is so versatile! Very good value.Having a strong magnetic tip it's especially useful for those who find picking up things so difficult. It can easily be clipped into a shirt pocket. It's claimed to pick up 5lbs/2kg.Its manufacturers AmtechDIY guarantee it 3 years.Very recommended!

Magnetic expandable rod.
A very handy gadget that does the job. I dropped a ring in between the seats, this gadget made it easy to retrieve it. Would recommend. Good price.

Good pick-up tool. More like 500g than 2kg, tho
Nice tool, feels well-constructed. However, the claimed 2kg lift capacity is an exaggeration. I've tested it with various items and I reckon 500g is a more realistic lift capacity. That's still a lot, though!

Sturdy product I bought this to use as an angle alignment tool for use with my golf irons, it’s a fraction of the price compared to purpose golf alignment tools and does the same job. Good purchase

Amazing!
I can't believe how useful this little tool is. Managed to retrieve a bunch of car keys from a small space within seconds. So useful for many things how did I manage without it!
