Heavy Duty and Well Designed
This rack is very solidly built, with all necessary hardware (bolts, washers, cage nuts and so on). Instructions are brief but clear; they state it is a two person job to assemble, but with patience I was able to put it together solo. The construction of the unit is logical - where three pieces come together pay attention to which pieces should be facing outermost and you will be fine.Fit and finish are top notch; no issues with hole alignment and such. The unit is heavy; I partially assembled it, then placed it to complete in place. It currently holds a 2U server, a 1U server, 3 switches and two patch panels. It is definitely overkill for just a few short depth items, but perfect for any full depth heavy equipment. If I needed a second unit or had to replace this one, I would purchase this again without hesitation.

Worth paying a premium for, well designed and sturdy
Got the 16UReally sturdy. Not too bad to assemble, even with one person. It may cost a little more than other brands but it’s absolutely worth it - nothing was bent or incorrectly machined.Recommended

Great rack, can't believe I waited so long to get it!
This is a fantastic bit of kit. It has clearly written, easy to understand assembly instructions, it comes with the tools needed for assembly, and even has a few spare washers and bolts. It took about less than an hour to set up. It is sturdy enough for a rack mounted server or two and some networking gear with a UPS. They even include cage nuts and screws so it's possible to start populating the rack immediately. It's got 42U of rack space, all clearly labeled, making it a breeze to fit gear as needed. Startech also includes cable management, so you you can keep the rack organized when you need it.In terms of looks, it's pretty standard, with a nice finish that does not feel thin or cheap. I'm using this in my home lab, and it really helped me organize my rack gear and get it all installed without much of a fight or hassle.Does require a two person lift - sure you can show off and lift it alone, however it's just ungainly and not balanced well in the package, so you're just better off with a two person lift and move.

WOW
I don't generally take the time to write a review unless it's a really bad product or a really good one. When you pick this up to walk it inside will be your first indicator you made the right choice. This thing is made better than the most racks in datacenters, the wheels are very high quality loaded with servers I can move this thing on a dime even being heavy "about half the rack is heavy servers, half light switches, heavy items on bottom". Extremely satisfied!

Strong and Sturdy!!!!
Easy to put together. I love the cable management clips that they give you. It holds all of my expensive equipment with no worries from me. Strong. Excellent product.

Beefy
Finished assembling the rack. It's pretty sturdy. There are no pre-drilled and threaded holes like you get on some rack rails, just cage nut. The metal is heavy gauge so I'm sure this can handle a significant amount of weight. The thing I didn't see was the TRUE height of this thing once you install the wheels. My door frames have an inner height of 80" from my industrial-grade carpet (no padding and low pile) to the lowest spot in the door frame. This rack WITH the wheels installed is 80.5" tall. This is my only complaint: Put the damn dimensions in the description. If the product comes with wheels and those wheels are installed on the product, measure the product with the wheels added. This very well could have changed which product I purchased so I could guarantee it fit. Now I have to figure out some kind of low-profile wheel situation. Other than that one gripe for my use, it's a great rack.

My first rack and I'm very pleased with it
This product is my first entry into the journey of rackmounting computer/networking gear, so please keep in mind that my experience is limited. It came in a long, almost flat package, which was slightly damaged on the outside, but all the content was unharmed. Each of the various bars was packed in its own bubble wrap, which I appreciated.Assembly was reasonably smooth, the only challenge was that initially it was a bit hard to get the screw to catch, when I tried to connect the first three bars together. You have to align them really well go get that. It would have been a little easier, if the screws would have been a millimeter or two longer. However once you have connected the first few parts, this will no longer be a problem (since they guide any new bar that you attach into proper alignment). They suggest that you assemble this with two people and I was glad that I had someone to help. There is an assembly video on the company's website, but note that in that video they attach the casters before the leveling feet. However the instruction manual tells you to attach the leveling feet first and I think that this is the way to you. Most assembly tools are included, but if the leveling feet won't go in by hand, you may need a 14mm wrench (or an adjustable one) to apply more torque. That wasn't a problem for my rack though, I could just screw them in by hand.I am very please with the final result, the rack looks clean and sturdy. I'm also glad that they provided plenty of cage nuts and screws, though I am using Rackstuds (the red ones) for some of my lighter gear. All in all this is a product that I can heartily recommend, if you're in the market for an open rack.
