You should but these.
Surprisingly nice Stone set. They are thin so they do Flex. But they cut very fast and very well. Well worth the money. I haven't used them for very long so I don't know how long they'll last. But, I use my cheap one I have from harbor freight for several years and it did the job, but these cut way way faster than the harbor freight one ever did.

Simple, nice quality.
This does an excellent job of keeping our kitchen knives, safely sharp. No slipping. The knife cuts where you put it on a vegetable, after sharpening.I like that it has a quick, carbide draw sharpener for garden and rougher knives, or for repairing a damaged knife. The 1000 grip panel is the extra touch for good kitchen work and hunting knives. My pocket knife, which is a tool and used as such, is quickly brought back with just a few strokes on the 400 grit and 600 grit. A few swipes on the 1000 grit panel if it is the end of the day. This sharpener is NOT meant for sharpening scissors or shears, but if you understand what you are doing, it works great for that chore. If you haven’t been educated to know how different scissors need to be sharpened, don’t do it, you will ruin you scissors. This knife sharpener will not ruin them, you will.I pulled my neighbor’s hedge shears out of his garbage, spent 5 minutes with it, then set it by his garage door. Now, he loves it.This is not a, “no-brainer,” sharper. But, a no-brainer sharpener will not get a knife half as sharp as this will if you take 15 minutes to learn how to properly sharpen a knife. It is very reasonably priced, and safe to use. I will buy again

Surprisingly good
Cuts really well. The 1200 side feels quite a bit coarser than 1200. It's flat, but its two very thin plates glued to a firm plastic board. My only dislikes are that the stone could be a bit bigger, and the plastic that the stone is mounted to kind of gets in the way of sharpening a little bit. Overall a great set for the money.

They will sharpen carbide lathe tool inserts
These are a full set of diamond sharpening plates. They are inexpensive so I was a bit skeptical since I wanted to sharpen the little "disposable" carbide inserts that I use in my lathe tools. Carbide can knock loose the diamond grit on some sharpening plates. I used honing oil and gently slid the flat side of the inserts around on one of the more coarse grits and then worked my way up a couple levels to finer grits. Use just a little pressure and make sure you have a film of oil. It only takes a minute on each plate and you have a razor sharp insert ready to go. The plates do eventually wear, so try to use the whole surface evenly.

Cheap, easy, fast...
Way better than knife sharpening stones! I wish I had discovered this sooner. I used sharpening stones and was satisfied, but after watching a video review, I had to give this a shot—and I’m so glad I did. I’m never going back! These plates are fantastic, super easy to use, fast, and hassle-free. I can't comment on durability yet, but even if I have to replace them yearly, I wouldn’t hesitate. Am I happy with my purchase? Absolutely. Would I buy again? 100% yes!

Good value. Works. (As seen on YouTube)
Max value with a five pack.Really got my knife sharp fast.Seen it on YouTube. Haven’t tried it on the axe head yet. But I assume it will also sharpen there too.

They work for the price...
I bought these to augment a set of cheap stones, for sharpening kitchen and pocket knives. The stones do just fine but are pretty slow to work out small chips or re-profile, so I decided to try out diamond. For heavy removal, these do pretty good. Like other folks mentioned, I don't think the grit markings mean much. The 400 grit is definitely more aggressive than the 1200, but in between, they all seem about the same.I used them on a few beater knives both before and after breaking them by flattening/scrubbing water stones so far...I figured, having a full set of the diamonds, I'd try a full sharpening, working up through the grits. I like the idea of the honeycomb pattern for the coarser stones, but once you get up higher in grit, it's somewhat problematic. Once you have a nice fine edge, it tends to grab and catch on the pattern edges leading to small chips. For the heck of it, I also sharpened an old ceramic knife I had around. It did remove material, but the chipping was pretty terrible.I got best results moving to normal stones after using the coarser diamond for the gross sharpening.I'm sure the thinner profile helps keep the cost down, but it also prevents the use of most anti-skid holders. I'm kind of torn, because it also keeps the storage space down...All that said, they certainly will sharpen knives and the price was right. With the diamond cutting performance, I was inspired to buy a more expensive set without the honeycomb pattern that will work with a normal holder.
