Totally incompatible for Indian voltage conditions
1) The unit I received can work at 120 volts, 60 Hz and 0.4 amps., whereas in India we get 220 volts and 50 Hz power supply. So, for proper and safe operation of the fan, one has to use a good quality 220 Volts to 110 Volts step down transformer with appropriate specifications. This information is nowhere mentioned in the product description at the Amazon website. I came to know about this only after receiving the item. These details are also not prominently displayed on the item. It is printed rather inconspicuously in some remote bottom part of the unit. Surprisingly voltage requirements are not written in the product information booklet also.2) Not withsatanding the above, I tried the fan with a step down transformer. There is no speed in the fan, particularly in the silent night position. Fan blades hardly move in the silent night position.3) How such an important information about the product's voltage requirements is not mentioned in the product description details at Amazon's website?4) How can any one supply a product for use in India which is not compatible with Indian voltage conditions?
