This is an excellent seasoned cast-iron frying pan. My choice with this one is that it also included a skillet lid for this particular size pan, which was a plus.

Very nice pan, Lid fits great
very very nice pan, good quality, not so heavy you dont want to lift it but heavy enough and high walls enough to not splash out. The lid is super nice, good quality with stream hole and fits very snuggly. The handle orange heat cover is extra nice added feature. I bought 3 one 12 inch and 2 smaller for family gift first then reordered the 12 for myself.My steaks have been fabulous to cook in, just right in depth not to splash without the lid with all the butter etc. The lid really sold me again to get it...it's so rare to find a cast iron the has a good fitting lid let alone a nice glass one. The lids metal rim is very very nicely snug to the lid, not cheap, great quality and the lid is very easy to clean.Great quality, you won't be disappointed if you want a good cast iron pan...comes with care instructions too. btw I"m not even a big cook but this pan has got me cooking all sorts of things now since so easy to cook too AND keep the cooking area clean and easy clean up. thank you! My family didn't want the lids to 2 other pans i gave them so i use them on my other pans...perfect fit too!

Seems nice
It seems like a nice skillet. It comes pre seasoned, however, in the instructions it says you must preseason, at least, 3 more times to guarantee food won’t stick. I’m on the 2 nd preseason and each pre seasoning takes 1 hour in the oven, then cool and repeat.

High Quality Iron Skillet with a Lid and It Comes Pre-Seasoned Properly.
The NutriChef iron skillet comes pre-seasoned properly, leaving the initial work out and you are ready to cook your first meal out of the box. Easy to clean and it comes with a lid for a great value.The Good1) High quality iron skillet - This thing is heavy!2) Comes with a lid, also of high quality with a grip that is made out of silicone3) Easy to clean - Initially, I used a natural cellulose sponge to clean it thinking it would fall apart after cleaning the iron skillet, but it was still intact. Be sure to apply some avocado oil or another good oil after cleaning.4) Cooked my first meal for my family - bone-in chicken (3 large pieces) and it came out great. Heat spread was balanced and it gets hot, fast.5) It warms up quickly. After a few minutes on the stovetop, the iron skillet became hot quickly. Quicker than advised. So please be careful. Tested it with butter to see how fast it would burn and it truly works.The Bad1) The silicone handle is not enough to protect user from extreme heat. You will need oven mitts. Unless you are the Human Torch, it is a must.Overall, I am very satisfied with the value of the NutriChef Iron Skill with Lid. For $50, it comes with a lid! Great for cooking some foods on the stovetop in slow-cook fashion. It also comes with a small booklet to learn how to take care of your iron skillet properly. Although I find the instructions to be confusing for a beginner. The instructions and information could have been ordered properly with steps instead of just clusters of information that can seem overwhelming for a novice. Although this isn't a a big deal, I thought it would be worth mentioning. If you are lost, search a YouTube video.

I love my cast iron pan!
I love my cast iron pan! I use it every single day.When I first got it, i seasoned it with grapeseed oil. I do that every so often. But usually, I simply wash it while it's hot with a sponge, and dry it with a towel. Then I put a little oil on it and it's ready for the next day.Follow the directions that come with the pan to keep yours "seasoned." It's really simple once you get in the habit of it, but it takes some time to learn the process. This is going to be the case with all cast iron pans.This pan is high quality and I love the lid. The grip top of the lid keeps your hand from burning. I always forget about the grip handle because I take it off for cleaning and baking. But I am sure it works great.

LOVE THIS
I had a cast iron skillet the same size from my father, used it many years. But no matter how many times I seasoned it it just got to where everything stuck regardless.. I bought this one and it came pre seasoned. I've used it probably 20 times now and not a single issue with sticking. I love that it has a lid that I can take off without it getting hot and the handle holder is also a great bonus. I am able to move the skillet and carry it with hot food in it and not feel any heat through the handle. Love it!

GREAT VALUE!
I bought this pan for a neighbor who was complaining about her $400.00 pan set. She loves this pan, reminds her of her Grandmother.
