Tiny Powerhouse
This little water pump is a real workhorse.Have run it dry several times, with no damage to the pumpAlso have run it choked off due to plugged intake filter, again no ill effect. This pump draws hardly any current off a 12 volt battery, so battery needs charging very infrequently.Highly recommend this very durable pump.

Good value. Flow > Pressure. Simple. Quiet. Efficient.
These are great for the price point. When they are working they move the expected amount of water. Pressure is proportionally weak, but that is a side effect of spending the available energy budget on flow/volume/mass. You would need to move less volume to get a higher pressure for the same watts, that's just physics. With a hose the same ID as the barb, I get about 2-4 feet of lift before back pressure causes it to stall, which is damn good for the flow rate and the sub 20 Watts honestly. The biggest con is they are bad about cavitation and priming. You have to be very particular about keeping the input loaded with only water. Even as small as a few CC's of air will cause stall/cavitation. The problem can be worked around easily if you have a level head on your shoulders.Basically, these are ideal for relatively high flow and reasonably closed loop applications. Liquid cooling PC's, fish/fountain pumps, etc. Not as great for situations where the input is getting exposed to air, or expected to start from an air locked state. Definitely not good for anything that relies on pressure to get the job done, e.g moving fluid against gravity, spray washing systems, etc.Haven't used them for anything other than fresh water, so I don't know what other liquids they could handle.

Working on solar panel.
I have these directly hooked up to a 100w solar panel to pump pool water up to a slide. As long as the sun is shining the slide has water. It also works with a charge controller but I went direct for now. It's been over six months and I've only used one of these pumps so far. The pump sticks sometimes at the beginning of the day but I just tap it against the pool wall and it starts up.

GARBAGE !!
I needed it to pump at least a trickle up tp 6 feet. It could not even pump 2 feet. Not even a tricle, either of the 2 pumps. GARBAGE !!

$aved me money and does a better job on my sailboat
Not a typical application. Sailboat life hack. My 2 foot pumps quit. $300 to get 2 new ones shipped to Fiji. Or $13+ for two of these, plus shipping. Not a lot of free shipping to Fiji. These 2 pumps and 2 momentarily “toe buttons” (where foot levers use to be), made life flow again. If these things age good enough for salt water aquariums, they will do what I need. Tiny plastic check valves will refine their operation and I expect they will long outlive the foot pumps I would have bought. The wires and only tinned on the tiny bit that the manufacturer stripped back. Not enough exposed to make a connection. If corrosion is a concern and you want to get max life out of them, strip back more wire and tin enough to do the job. This is a low dollar resolve that I expect to be happy with for a long time.
