Insect LoreGiant Butterfly Garden with 6-10 Caterpillars and Lifecycle Stages

We have bought the butterfly set and the stick insects in the last couple of months. Both have been excellent. I’ve bought ‘science’ type kits before that have been so disappointing but these excelled even our highest expectation. 10 stick insects hatched with only one fatality (poor Sophie the stick insect!!). All the caterpillars were released as butterfly’s. My son was so engaged with these kits. Loads of info which also encouraged him to research further. And the timescales predicted for hatching etc were really good and meant we had lots of things to anticipate. One downside? It’s sparked my sons love of animals so much he wants a snake now! Help!

Clear easy instructions very easy for my granddaughter to follow the life cycle of the butterfly and lived letting g them go at the end

This has been a fantastic 11th birthday gift for my daughter who is mad on all things wildlife. Complex to set up but with supervision to follow the instructions fully she was able to handle this. All but one have hatched and are now on a sunflower in the polytunnel. Well made equipment and performs as expected. Great value for money.

The media could not be loaded. My mom died and we were able to use this to help explain death to her great- grandchildren. The illustration of the caterpillars looking one way and then changing to another form alleviated some of their concerns about my mom dying, as we explained that she’s still here (in heaven) but just in a different form.The caterpillars were fun to watch chafing into butterflies! The whole family enjoyed it. Great product!

Have bought these before and provided you follow the instructions it works really well. The instructions show you what should be happening at approximately what time. Great fun, would recommend for Butterfly lovers what ever their age, and most IMPORTANTLY our planet needs butterflies.

So educational and amazing to watch and learn from. 10 caterpillars and 10 butterflies 🎉Only complaint was that I couldn’t get the lids to sit upright in the cardboard stands not helped by the fact that the cocoons ended up resting on the box or fell off when trying to fit the lid in. For some reason I expected to get eggs not caterpillars 🤷‍♀️Would still definitely recommend and we are keeping all the items for our caterpillar order next spring.

I ordered 2 pots with 5 caterpillars I didn’t expect all to hatch but I’m pleased to say I got 10 beautiful Butterflies. The little 2 yr old neighbour was mesmerised by them when I show him and let them go. I’m so pleased ive ordered 2 more pots so watch this space and I’ll update you on my next success. They seem to thrive on 1/2 an orange socked in the suger water just trim the top off the orange every morning drop on the syrup and watch you’ll love it. 5⭐️s

It took just over 5 weeks for the whole process. I bought the 6-10 pack, 9 caterpillars arrived which resulted in 6 butterflies.Easy instructions to follow. We all enjoyed watching the process especially when the butterflies emerged. Quite expensive for only 6 butterflies but you can use the butterfly House again so next year I will just buy more caterpillars.
