Excellent item
Came well packaged, just what I wanted, this item is great because you have different plates to do different dishes and very easy to clean, I am very happy with it, Excellent. So will recommend.

Works fine but parts feel cheap on it
I use this for making grilled toasties, bacon or steak. It doesn't feel that well made and the dial on the front feels loose and plastic. It could be a bit sturdier, it is however a decent size just about accommodating two rounds of sandwiches. The drip tray seems a bit redundant and doesn't really fill so perhaps a new model could have it slant so there is more run off.

Alistair 2000w
I bought this toastie to replace a much smaller one and it is an absolute joy to use. Toasted sandwiches come out beautifully done with the filling cooked just right. It is easy to clean. I have yet to use it as an open griddle but have no reason to suppose this will be great too.

Not suitable for a sandwich, possible not even for a panini.
After finally finding something that'll fit larger slices of bread (warburtons I'm looking at you). Unfortunately it doesn't want to hold the top level and as others have reviewed will end up with uneven toasting. It's going back and as it's my 3rd attempt to find a suitable replacement for my old make I think I'm going to have to hit physical shops.

Crisps up toasties perfectly – quick, powerful, and easy to clean!
Powerful, Versatile, and Toastie Heaven!Absolutely love this sandwich press — it heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and the 2000W power gives a proper crunch to your toasties and paninis. Plenty of space for deep-fill sandwiches, and it handles burgers and veggies just as well. The adjustable temperature control is a great feature, and the fact it opens flat to double as a grill is a bonus I didn’t realise I needed! Non-stick coating makes cleaning up easy, and the drip tray catches the mess.Feels sturdy, looks smart on the counter, and has quickly become a daily-use bit of kit in my kitchen.

Poor quality
I’m returning this product because it’s made of poor-quality plastic. The plates aren’t reliable and aren’t removable, and there are black spots inside the bag, as if it was peeled off. Some parts are also damaged. Doesn't inspire confidence at all

Worked as described.
I liked the idea that it is flat and nonstick. It worked well with our cheese sandwich. I did not try using it for cooking steak or chicken as describe in the listing. I was hoping that the plate are removable for better cleaning. But we managed to clean them easily. It is not too hot just enough to provide good temperature for toasting the bread. I like the design that the handle has a lock on it who’s make it easy to use you do not need to keep on holding the cover.

A little less than I expected
I bought the press for two reasons. I love toasted sandwiches and paninis, and I figured it would help me live healthier.I think I can sum up in one sentence, but for the sake of a thorough review I will elaborate a bit .My one sentence, "I don't think it gets hot enough"The recovery rate of the elements in the unit I think need some attention. Recovery rate, of course is how fast they reheat when loaded with cold food. Loaded does not mean I fill the hotplates with food, its a generic term for placing a quantity of food on it. Whilst initially hot enough to sear meats, it cannot recover heat fast enough to ensure that the meats do not end up in a pool of liquid, and therefore stewing rather than sizzling as it should. It's a bit better when used open, as a double grill, but that does make the cooking process slower.Lets now look at its ability to cook dry foods, such as paninis and sandwiches. Again, the elements don;t seem to recover fast enough, but as a panini or sandwich press it is quite good. So, I'm not saying do not buy this item, as it works OK, just not as well as I , personally, expected.I do try to be totally honest with my reviews, and base them on my personal experiences with purchases. I gave the grill 4 stars as it does mostly what it says on the box. For the price its a cost effective purchase.
