Surprisingly Decent
I was looking for a simple, budget-friendly set of speakers to use with my desktop PC, and these Amazon Basics Stereo 2.0 speakers delivered exactly what I needed. Setup was a breeze—just plug them into the headphone jack and USB port, and you're good to go. No drivers or software required. The sound quality is surprisingly decent for such an inexpensive product. While you're not going to get deep bass or audiophile-level clarity, the audio is crisp and clear for everyday use like watching videos, listening to music, or casual gaming. Volume levels are more than sufficient for a small to medium-sized room. The build quality feels solid for the price, and the compact size makes them perfect for a clutter-free desk setup. I also appreciate the simple volume knob on the front—it’s easy to access and smooth to adjust.Pros:AffordableEasy to set upCompact and lightweightClear audio for basic useCons:Lacks deep bassNot ideal for high-end audio needsOverall, these are excellent budget speakers that do exactly what they promise. If you need a no-fuss audio solution for your PC or laptop, this is a great option.

Exceptional quality - highly recommend...
In an audio recording studio, it is vital to have high-quality speakers with accurate low, mid, and high frequency response. I was amazed when I connected these Amazon Basic speakers to my TV; these speakers are comparable to those costing 2-3 times more!Note, these speakers require an unused headphone (or speaker output) and USB connection on your device. If your application doesn’t have a spare USB port, make sure you purchase a quality Amazon USB Power Adapter (i.e. LUOATIP brand). Before connecting, turn off your TV, Computer, etc. Carefully unwrap the speakers, using caution to separate the wiring and plugs. Connect the speaker and USB plug. Turn on the system, select Settings, Audio; then enable Surround Sound if applicable. Adjust the sound Low, Mid, and High frequency levels to your liking. I usually set Low to 60%, Mid to 50%, and High to 75%. For enhanced listening, position the front of the speakers at a 45 degree angle outward on each side to provide the best surround effect. IMPORTANT: Once you connect these speakers, place a non-slip pad (i.e. thin rubber, or double stick tape, etc.) underneath each speaker to prevent vibration movement on the TV platform. Enjoy… ~ S

Average USB-Powered Speakers
The led glow on the bottom make these speakers very nice. They do have some weight to them, making them feel and look premium for such a low price. Keep in mind these speakers are powered by the 5 volt USB port on the computer, so don't expect these speakers to be very loud. If you need louder speakers, you will have to buy speakers that have their own plug in power supply. The sound these produce are definitely better than the built in computer speakers, but they don't have a lot of bass.Pros:Look and feel premium, especially the slight blue glow on the bottom of the speakers.Powered by any USB port on the computer. Doesn't need a separate power source. An improvement over the computer speakersConsNo separate power supply, only powered by the USB port, so the speakers cannot get very loud

Pleasant Suprise
Blew out the speakers on my old laptop and I'm not taking it apart again. These speakers were east to hook up, just plugged into headphone jack and I've got a spare usb jack to power them. They are actually quite a bit better than the OEM's installed on the laptop so for the money I spent I'm really happy. Although it's a laptop it's mainly used as a personal business center and streaming device so I;m not concerned about carrying them around with the laptop.

Excellent inexpensive speakers - so far.
Other customers complained about the length of the wire connecting the speakers, the volume control being out of reach, the lights that stay on all the time, the packaging, and the sound quality. All I can say is, I don't have a problem with any of these things. I don't need the speakers to be on opposite sides of the room, just opposite sides of the monitor. The way I have my desk set up, I can reach the volume control just fine. If I don't want the lights on, I unplug the USB connector. I did not find the packaging to be unusually challenging. And these are really very decent speakers for the price. Are people expecting BOSE speaker quality for under $20? Come on.I have an older model refurbished HP PC and the only problem I had was when I plugged the cable connector into the headphone jack, the speakers didn't work. I peeled the USB and cable connector wires apart, plugged the USB in the front of the machine and the cable connector into the audio jack on the back and they work. I'm glad there's no software. All they require the user to do is to go into the system settings and choose the speakers as the default speakers. They sound a lot better than the sound that comes out of the PC. I've been using them for 1 week and I'm very happy with them.

Good Mini Speakers. USB Powered. Standard Headphone Jack.
Good mini speakers. Solid and pretty heavy for being so small. Blue lighted base in my opinion is unnecessary. Using this speaker set with a Mac Mini. Suggest downloading the FREE MacOS app "Speaker Amp" which delivers more volume power and better sound quality. Plugs into a standard headphone jack. Also uses a USB port for its power. USB power can be from an unused USB computer port or any stand-alone USB power adaptor. Maybe a spare iPhone USB adaptor?
