Carves and sharpens satisfactory. Good set Would have been better if it had included a couple of gouge tools

I’ve bought 4 sets of these knives. They are perfect to start with, very sharp but that’s what you need. I would recommend buying gloves and tape so you don’t cut your fingers. Very nice set of knives.

My husband says that these are great carving tools! We bought them for a starter set for my grandson. Good price for a good product!

Great set for kids to learn with.

I bought some chisels and basswood from a craft store, then began down the path of whittling and wood carving. Beaver Craft was recommended by Carving is Fun on youtube. These knives do what I expect them to do. They are sharp and it comes with the strop and compound. Great for the price and excellent set for beginners. Couldn't be happier (as long as I keep my fingers out of the path of the blades).Bonus, it came with some cut resistant tape, a how to book, and a cute beaver craft bandage. Boy, you know the trouble I'm inevitably going to find! I will certainly be back for more goodies from Beaver Craft.

I have never purchased from beavercraft but after reading reviews I figured what the heck. I thought the tools would be sharper. They fit nicely in your hand. I did sharpen them and they were better. Good durability.
