I am fairly annoyed more so with the seller "VM Express" than the product. I received an open package which was missing the handle. This is absolutely worthless without the handle. I contacted the seller who replied that they were going to reach out to the manufacturer about a replacement on my behalf. Who knows how long that will take. I am just going to return it and buy it somewhere else.** Edit** The seller emailed me that the handle has been shipped and should arrive within 3 - 5 days. I will update once I receive it.** I did receive the handle from the seller. I am reluctantly adding a star. I say reluctantly because initially Istill received an open package that was missing parts.

Purchased this as a gift for a friend. I was very pleased when the item arrived a day ahead of schedule. Packaging was good and my friend was very pleased.

Perfect fit for replacement, nice upgrade to handle weight of our boat!

i like the product but it didn't come with any screws to connect it its just the winch itself and the handle, but i didn't even get the screw to connect the handle.

This winch is strong and works well but the Double Pawl Lever that locks the gears is made of cheap pot metal and easily breaks. This could be a hazard if it broke while raising a heavy object as the gear lock would fail allowing the handle to spin as the object fell to earth.Must occur often as a replacement part is available but cost, down time of the job and hassle ordering is an unnecessary frustration. Why does a company make a product that anyone with any understanding of metallurgy would know it is going outbreak and fail. This carelessness of manufacturing ruins the product. Penny wise and dollar foolish.

This winch is high quality, heavy duty, and the features work just as advertised. Installation was a snap, and the two speed functionality easily pulls my 3500 lb. sail boat onto the trailer while on the ramp. This unit replaces a 25 year old unit which was not a two speed, or as heavily built. Very satisfied.
