neither a spatula nor a spoon, it's an anti-spoonula!

This might be useful for various things in the kitchen, so it's not worth returning. But it really isn't a spoon, there's so little bowl to it that I can't even use it as a tasting spoon for a soup or stew in a pot. And it's too spoon-shaped in outline to be used as a spatula. So it's kind of an anti-spoonula, which makes it pretty limited in my kitchen. My spoonulas (from Starpack here on Amazon) are much more versatile.Otherwise, it seems well made, and is comfortable to hold and use while (for example) stirring something in a pot. But just be aware what it can and can't be used for.

It should be called a slingshot as much as the head gives.

I dont even want to really call this a spoon unless I say "Play" spoon. I think of a spoon and I think SOLID. Well this one is missing a solid inner core in the majority of the head, so it gives almost completely. So if you want to use it to scoop a baking bowl clean of batter its good.....but you dont buy a spoon for that! If you wanted to buy it for cooking I would not though. You cant use it to break apart ground beef if you use it while cooking or to do anything with pressure really. And I cant really call it a spatula because I could not use this as a spatula because its too flimsy. And because it is so thin and has no core it will give into wear a lot faster than a thicker based spoonula. I compared the RSVP (in Blue) to another spoonula I have (in Grey). I showed how much both heads give if you use a little pressure. And in the pictures I had to apply very little pressure to bend almost all of the RSVP spoonula, but I had to apply lot more force just to make the other spoonula give a little.

Needed a second one

I've had this for several years. It gets a lot of use and still looks new. Since it is frequently in the dishwasher I decided to get another one so there's always one ready to use. The handle is sturdy and easy to grip. The spoon tip and sides are flexible. It's great for mac-n-cheese, spaghetti sauce, and other saucy dishes because the flexible edges easily wipe the bottom and sides, and it is enough of a spoon shape for stirring and dishing.

Love it!

It is perfect for making scrambled eggs in a non-stick pan that you don't want to scratch. It's not a spoon that holds anything, but it's great for mixing and stirring. Super easy to clean.

A great nonstick-safe spoon for a variety of uses!

I've had many of this exact spoon in the last five years or so. They typically last about two years before the silicone begins to crack or break or chip, so just do a "bend test" of the tip every now and again to make sure yours isn't cracking or pieces aren't falling off. It's normal wear and tear.Otherwise, these are great spoons for cooking/mixing with, especially with nonstick surfaces as they will (ok, should) never scratch your pans in any way. Being silicone they clean up quickly, and I've never had one stain or retain the scent of food. The only downside is it's not the best serving spoon from nonstick, as it's very shallow. I sometimes have to use a silicone spatula or very carefully use a metal serving spoon (taking care to not let it scrape the nonstick surface) to get the food out of whatever I cook it in.

BEST SPOON EVER!

I bought this for my husband 6 years ago and it instantly became famous in our house. "The Blue Spoon" was used almost every day, always with heat, and always put in the dishwasher. The handle is just now starting to show some cracks and wear. But again, it's a 6-year-old spoon. My husband accredits the wear to me banging it on the edge of a pot. But I decided that any spoon that can live 6 years in my house is a spoon worth having. So I just bought another one. My mother, who has tried every major brand of silicone spoons, tried mine and loved it so much that she bought two for how cheaply they were priced. You seriously will never need to find another spoon for your kitchen. This one does at all, does it better, and lasts a very long time. And you really cannot beat this price.

best cooking spoons

feel a bit silly reviewing a spoon, but these really are great. i have had two of what must be the same kind for almost 10 years and they are only now starting to get a bit ragged (they may have gone thru the dishwasher next to the grater) so i came here to find a replacement and as far as i can tell, these are the same spoons. i use these for almost every type of cooking; they won't melt if you forget them on the side of a hot pan, they are thin at the edge so they get into corners well, sort of half spoon and half spatula, and they are super easy to clean. they are fairly flat so they don't hold a lot of liquid, but if you want to spoon large amts of liquid you would probably be using a ladle not a stirring spoon anyway.

Exact as in picture

I received this in record time in spite of the Covid delays advertised by Australia post. This spatula is absolutely wonderful ... love it. Highly recommended

Not flexible enough

I purchased this spatula to replace a dark blue one that I had before, that had the exact same shape. I'm not a fan of the rougher texture, and it's not flexible enough.
