Lufkin L912CME 3m/10ft x 19 mm Legacy Series Tape Measure, Chrome

Always used carefully and not mistreated. After a week the end started to curl and the sides of the tape became dented and warped.I can’t put the end on anything as it keeps rolling over and coming off. The rewind is viscously over sprung and dangerous if you don’t let it return calmly with the help of your other hand. It has a cheap plastic look and feel to it like a 1970’s toy robot!Utter waste of £16 quid, better off buying a Stanley Max.

Having been given very little use (perhaps 20 times over an 8 month period) the lock no longer works. Very disappointing. Thought I’d go for a more expensive item than the usual Stanley and wish I hadn’t. Of course it’s entirely possible that it’s a one off and things do go wrong from every manufacturer but I’ve now bought a Milwaukee for half the price and straight away the lock feels more robust and it’s half the price and nicer to hold. It’s getting a lot more use than the Lufkin too as I’m back to work after last years Covid retirement.

I used lufkin tapes for many years longlasting tape and solid build case but this is cheap nasty plastic

We’ll always used to use this brand of tape obviously not now the same quality as the end has torn of it 😡

Ordered and took a week to come, not even a very good tape for the money
