This is not really any thinner, but it is shorter than corded hair straighteners. It's very easy to use. You long press to turn on, press again to select a temperature, and then it heats up. It has three temperature settings and it has an indicator of remaining battery charge. It will probably only get through 4 or 5 straightenings before running out of battery, based on my usage so far.The highest heat available is not as hot as the settings I normally use on my plug-in straighteners, but it works well. I previously thought my hair needed the very very high heat, but the 200 degree setting is working great for me. Even after exercise in the humidity, my hair is still relatively straight. The lesser heat is probably better for my hair too.I also enjoy not having to worry about the cord. It doesn't get in the way or catch on anything while I'm working on my hair. This is also a better size for travel. And I like that it has individual 'bristles' instead of the bunch of arcs like other straightening brushes I've used have. I find those harder to get my hair through, whereas this is nice and easy.I was skeptical about a rechargeable straightener, but this has won me over and I'm honestly considering donating my plug in ones because I like this one so much better.

This portable hair straightening comb is a very handy thing to have on the go. My hair definitely needs touch-ups throughout the day but I just have to deal with it if I'm out, until now. It's very convenient to keep in your bag if you won't have access to your usual go to straightener. I don't think it'd be a good option to replace your usual every day straightener but it's definitely nice to have on the go on a long day out. It heats up fairly quickly but doesn't necessarily tell you when it's done preheating. The instructions were good enough to understand and not complicated at all to get the hang of using.

I like this because it truly is portable. USB-charging is easy to do. Then you turn it on, turnon the negative ion, set to the temperature you want (there are three settings), and use as instructed. The instruction booklet is clear and makes sense -- my only issue with it is that the print was tiny; I struggled even with reading glasses.But it's good. The comb heats up quickly enough, does what it is supposed to do. Great for travel; comes with a comb and a bag for travel too.

I gave this a 3 because I recognize that I do have a lot of hair. I included the before and after photo, so you can judge for yourself. This was after about 6-7 minutes of brushing and I did section.I do like that it is cordless so you can charge and take it on the go. It came charged with two bars of battery and it used one in the amount of time I spent straightening, so I don’t think it’s a very long charge. It did heat up fairly quickly and there are different temp sets. I picked the hottest, which was 390 f. It comes with clips, a charging cord, a comb, and a carrying case.

I was a bit surprised at how heavy this brush is for the size, but it is indeed quite a nifty little hot brush. I’m assuming the weight is due to the rechargeable battery. This brush is of quite a compact size and would be great for quick little touch ups and emergency smoothing, but due to its size and the limits of the rechargeable battery, I would not suggest it for travel to use for an entire hairdo. If you are looking for something to do touch ups after a long commute, or maybe during a long work day, this could be just the thing for you.

I ordered this straightener for a family member who asked for a beard straightener. This tool specifically says it is for men’s beards & it does the job well. The straightener heats up quickly but is gentle on your beard. It is compact & great for travel. It’s a good cordless straightener at a fair price.
