Replaced my NTE when changing to full fibre
It did the job! I was however surprised to find it has screw connections rather than IDC. My original NTE, prior to my upgrade to FTTC, terminated the house telephones and my router to the BT line. This faceplate enabled me to simply replace my existing NTE, used to connect my router and internal telephones to the incoming BT telephone cable, with this simple BT socket which I connected to my house telephone cabling and then to connect this to the Fibre Optic to copper box (ONT) provided by my fibre service supplier using a simple BT plug to RJ11 plug cable. A simple task!

Love the screw covers
This product looks great and is enhanced with the covers for the screws attaching the plate to the back box.The connection to the phone line is by screw connectors so takes a bit more time than the insertion took type fitting so a star off. But if you do not have a professional tool it is much easier to use these terminals than a piece of plastic.

Good quality socket
Good quality socket, robust with nice touch of covers for the bolt holes. Wire grips are screw based, (like a standard electric plug) rather than the specialist wire grip slots in many telephone sockets, but they work fine and may be more familiar and simpler to use for many DIYers.
