This battery is not compatible with dell laptops. Since the very first day I installed this battery, my laptop suddenly turns off at random times. Specially if the battery is towards getting empty and even before my laptop gets a chance to generate a low battery notification the laptop turns off (not a normal shut down, it suddenly turns off). Although this happens mostly when the battery is almost empty, it has also happened when the battery is full. To avoid this I have to keep the laptop connected to the charger all the time. I am thinking about buying a new battery since I am afraid it either damages my laptop or causes some other more serious incident.
