Bike Cleats Compatible with Shimano SPD-SL Locking Cycling Pedals Indoor Cycling & Road Bike Cleats for Shimano SH10 SH11 SH12 System

Have had my pelly for a few years and have changed my cleats twice now. These are just as good as the peloton brand cleats. They clip in tight and don’t wobble around at high cadence. Give em a try.

I've always been wary of non-OEM cleats because it's the only thing holding your foot in, especially if you're bombing down a hill or climbing up steep inclines, but I ordered these since I had another pair of cycling shoes that needed cleats and I didn't want to switch my current ones out. They look exactly the same as the Shimano yellows, the only thing I can see is that it doesn't have the Shimano stamp on the plastic, but the wear areas, the feel, thickness, and the actual clipping in and out function the same. No reason to get the more expensive replacement, check out the pic of the comparison of the OEM vs. these - know that clipping in and out is working just as expected, but it's surprising you can't tell it's not Shimano!

Normally, I buy the "name brand" SPD-SL cleats, but with the coincidence of needing new cleats and having an opportunity to look at these, I decided to take a look. As I prefer more float, I chose the 6° float so this is an apples-to-apples comparison with the cleats I normally use. The cleats themselves are, for all practical purposes indistinguishable from the name brand. As such, they fit my pedals exactly as they should. The adjusting plates are a little bit thinner than the ones that came with the name brand. I don't know if this will make any difference in the long run. I like to torque the screws down pretty tight (I don't like losing screws out on the road) so that would be an argument for the thicker plates. (If you already have SPD-SL cleats, it's easy enough to just use your old plates.) One "flaw" that these cleats share the name brand is that the screws that come with them are 9mm in length -- Fine for the name brand shoes but too short for my Sidi cycling shoes. You can get longer screws from the name brand for an outrageous price but you can also go to a local high quality hardware store (or Amazon) and get some M5x12 (or M5x14) cap screws that will work just fine at a mere fraction of the cost. (The name brand, of courses, says to only use name brand screws). The FOTGROY cleats don't (as is so typical these days) don't come with any instructions at all so they are silent on what to do if you find that the supplied screws are too short for your shoes. Long term durability of these cleats remains to be seen. I will update this review if I find any issues in this regard.

If you ride out on the road very much, invariably, you will walk on your bike cleats and eventually need to replace them. The plastic that keeps the shoe in the pedal wears down and either won't stay connected or it becomes difficult to twist your foot out of the pedal.These cleats are similar to the Shimano ones and seem to be a replica in terms of fit and hardware. They are quite a bit cheaper, so the long-term question is how well they hold up to the wear and tear of regular use. I typically get about one season out of a pair of cleats, so it will take some time to be able to tell. If I find these wear out quickly, I'll come back and update my review. Thus far, it's nice having a brand-new pair for a lot less money.

These cleats are pretty much Shimanos with only a minor injection-molding difference. They're the same shape, have very similar brackets, etc., but you save a lot of money.A few things to keep in mind.1. These (the ones I got) are the Blues or 2° Float. That's how much rotation they allow. This is a pretty good middle-ground. Your alternatives are Reds (0°) or Yellows (6°). The colors are standard, and these match the colors. It's down to preference; if you're spinning, less is probably best.2. These are SPD-SL cleats. For most gym bikes, you want Shimano SL (MTB) cleats. For some, or Peloton, you can use Look/Delta cleats that look similar to these. These are best for serious road biking, where the weight and power delivery matter. But regardless, you want to ensure the cleats match the pedals.Bottom line: Excellent price on very good road bike cleats. Doublecheck before buying if you're expecting to use them on a stationary bike.
