pen looks and works great just wish it came with different nibs like medium or broad other than that love the pen

I have a love affair with fountain pens. I was blessed with pretty penmanship (along with good instruction in grade school), so I've always enjoyed the written hand. Even now when email and texting are so prevalent, a handwritten note on a handmade card always leaves a lasting impression. I ordered this pen because of the way it looked. Very ornate. When I received it, I found it to be even prettier than its picture! It is heavy - And I like that. It feels like quality. You unscrew the cap. I understand earlier fountain pens always had screw caps. Even the nib is beautiful! The pen writes smoothly. No skipping. I keep this pen displayed on my desk at work, and use it for my signature. It gives me a pleasant thrill every time I use it. Please buy this pen. I know you'll have fun with it, just like I do.

I have had this pen for about a year now. Works great. Everyone asks what it is. Very impressive presence! The black part when scratched over time turns into gold. This includes close to the nib and the tail. Pen never stopped working. It is an amazing piece of artwork, worth every penny. 4 stars because of the black paint chipping as described above. When mine breaks, or someone successfully walks away with it, I'll buy another one for sure.

This is definitely a pimped out pen - I've been using it only for a week or so and already had half a dozen complements on it.Solid, heavy, feels great - interestingly enough it writes very nicely and has a screw refillable ink cartridge that works nicely.Feels interesting to fiddle with during meetings...Worth the price.

I bought this pen as a gift and my husband really likes it. It kind of heavy, but it is really cool looking. I think pen enthusiast will love it.

I like a big pen, but this is way too big, way too ornate, and the black finish scratches easily revealing metal underneath. I returned it.

Didn't really care much for this item, it is really bulky. It's my own fault though, other reviews mentioned that it was heavy.
