Simple and Effective. Worked straight away.
Overview:I bought this to work with the Neewer NW-700. I bought that a few days ago and had it plugged into a 2009 iMac. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t pick up decent sound volume from the microphone when it was plugged into the headphone jack or into the line in jack.• The description details how its driverless requiring no extra software.• It was also listed as often bought with the NW-700.• Finally it lists as working with Mac so I thought I would take a punt and try it.Disclaimer:I don’t know what I’m doing, I really don’t! Hopefully if you don’t know what you’re doing either, then this review helps!Packaging:As in the pictures, a very simple package with some instructions, a thick foam mount to hold the adapter in and thats about it.First Impressions:There really isn't much to it. It seems well made, with no obvious marks, scratches or weaknesses. Overall it looks nicely designed and well thought out with the different colours providing clear indication of what each port is.Use:The instructions cover it but it really is simple, plug in and then attach either microphone, headphones or both into their respective ports. It was picked up by the Mac instantly and since plugging it in, I have a decent sound input and the NW-700 works brilliant. The last photo shows it appearing as a USB audio device. I still sound like an idiot though unforetunately!Longevity: Its a USB plug, and its going to be left in for a while. It shouldn't fail and I'd be quite annoyed if it did. However, if it does fail in a short period then it also has the option to register for a 2 year warranty. I've done this just to make sure. If it does fail, as always I will update this review.Cheers,

Works great with the PlayStation 5
Used in conjunction with a Playstation 5 (which doesn't have a headphone socket) and a pair of Sennheisser HDR-170 wireless headphones (that's wireless, not bluetooth). I prefer these for certain games (particularly Rocksmith) as there's a less latency than with the Sony Pulse bluetooth headset. In spite of its low cost and unassuming size, it just works. Plug the Sennheisser base station into the green socket of the adaptor and plug it into the front USB of the PS5 and the console pick it up and automatically switch to the headphones. Fiddling with audio settings in the PS5 menus can refine things further, but even leaving everything on default works well enough. If you're looking for a mini-jack adaptor for the PS5, this is it.

Useful little dongle
I use this for connecting between my laptop and my Rode wireless mics. It has worked perfectly for over 4 years.

Replaces existing soundchip - No drivers required - TRUE Plug & Play - Excellent Product!!
This device saved my life and whole load of stress. As many currently are doing, I work from home on a laptop, setup to connect securely to my works computer network. As a Quality Analyst, I require the use of headphones and sound card to listen to agent calls as the primary task. Then to my horror, the sound card or sound chip built in to the laptop motherboard, stopped working. Windows 10 was less than useless as ever at giving any indication of this, it kept saying it was not plugged in, which of course was not the issue.Anyway, I was in a real dilemma and thought I would perform a quick search on Amazon to see if there were any solutions, and I found this external USB sound card.I was dubious I have to say that this would work or that it was even a sound card itself, I thought it would end up being an adapter to plug in headphones or speakers but not fix the problem.I was wrong, it plugged in, Windows immediately detected it as a USB sound device, it was working in seconds perfectly, replacing my onboard sound device. This product is of high quality, great sound quality and has bot a line out for speakers or headphone and a line in for a microphone if you require it.Excellent and thank you for saving my life!!

Pleasantly suprised!
I've literally only just received this item, so can't comment on durability just yet.As for the device itself I can't fault it. Nicely packaged and easy to install. Using Windows 10 I plugged into a spare USB and within a second or two I was up and running.I bought this for my 6 month old HP laptop as the built in auto sensing headphone socket it useless. Once this had installed I simply went to the Windows Sound window (In Windows 10 hit your start key and then just type sound. It should be the first item that comes up. Right click on the device and select 'Set as default device'. That should ensure that whenever you plug this device in your computer will prioritise it for audio.A for sound quality I was quite impressed! I wasn't expecting a massive amount to be fair giving the purchase price (£5.99 with free Prime delivery) but it sounds great, and has plenty of volume when listening via headphones.I can't comment on the quality of the input as yet, as I have nothing to plug into it, but I can see that it is a true mic input, ie not line level, as is only mono. Probably perfect if you wanted to plug a headset in for skype or gaming. The only thing I would say is that due to the width of the device (which is justified as it has 2 x 3.5mm jack sockets in it) you would struggle to plug a device into an adjacent USB socket on a laptop. Worth bearing in mind if you have limited USB sockets or have a lot of devices to plug in. I should imagine that if you use a USB hub this wouldn't be as much of an issue.I shall be trying this out over the next week or so and then probably be buying another one to ease connectivity when i'm at my desk in work.
