Super complex
The directions take a good amount of thought power and figuring out. Kids definitely need an adult to help. Tons of small parts, so have a good blade ready to get the pieces out and a good open space to work. This is a great activity, but make sure to set aside a heafty amount of time to do it with your kids. The robot is super cute.

Simple
These are a little more simple than I had hoped for and the pieces are very small but my granddaughter is enjoying them.

Great to NOT have to buy batteries!
I like that I ordered it from Amazon and it was delivered right to my front door on time. My 9 years old autistic grandson has enjoyed it tremendously and carries pieces of it with. It keeps him busy.

Cool but time consuming
Fun work together project with the little ones but certainly time consuming. My lil guy lost interest after 10 minutes but I was determined to finish. He played with it for 2 seconds and it fell apart lol

Great for kids who love to invent and build things
The Thames & Kosmos WindBots 6-in-1 Engineering STEM Kit is an excellent way to introduce kids to the world of robotics and engineering. This kit comes with all the materials needed to build six different wind-powered robots, each with a unique design and function. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, allowing kids to build each robot with minimal assistance. One of the standout features of this kit is that it's powered by wind, rather than electricity. This means that kids can experiment with the power of wind and learn about renewable energy sources in a fun and engaging way. The kit also includes a comprehensive manual that explains the principles of wind energy and how it can be harnessed to power different machines. The quality of the materials is excellent, with sturdy plastic components that are durable enough to withstand repeated use. The robots themselves are also well-designed and function smoothly once assembled. Kids will enjoy experimenting with different wind conditions and seeing how it affects the movement and performance of each robot.Overall, the Thames & Kosmos WindBots 6-in-1 Engineering STEM Kit is an excellent way to introduce kids to the world of robotics and engineering. It's a fun, educational, and engaging way to learn about wind energy and the principles of engineering. The quality of the materials and the clear instructions make it easy for kids to build and experiment with each robot, and the end result is six cool wind-powered machines that they can be proud of.

Unusual but interesting learning toy
Thames & Kosmos WindBots: $32.95 at the time of reviewI've mentioned in other reviews, but my wife and I have a couple of nieces and nephews that we love to spoil when they come over. That includes making sure that we have a good number of toys on him to keep them busy. One of our nephews is really into science stuff right now, so when I saw this wind bought kit (he's also into Legos) I knew that he would be excited to play.*TL;DR Review Haiku™*Novel set of blocksGreat STEM inspiration kitThe pieces punch out*What I liked*:This is a full retail kit designed to be use to create different toys that function on wind power. It's a pretty neat concept and one that helps introduce kids to mechanical concepts. The entire set seems really well-built. Interestingly, I was expecting this to be like Legos (with a bunch of loose pieces floating around inside bags in the box). To the contrary though, it's more like an old model that you might glue together (please note, no glue needed here all of the pieces are on snap off trays. This is a novel way to do it, as it ensures that none of the pieces are missing (or, I suppose that a lot of pieces are missing if an entire tray is not in the box). The plastic parts all seem high-quality as well. Even the instruction book is a glossy printed manual that looks like it’s built to hold up to time.I haven't had my nephew over to play with him yet, so I can't comment on how much he likes them. But I will come back and update the review if he loves them.*What I didn't like*:The one little issue I have with this said comes from the nature of their punch out style. Each little piece has a small little hangover bit of plastic from where it was attached to the tray. This is simple enough to address when you punch the pieces out, but you don't have to do this with free floating blocks (like Legos).*The Bottom Line:*Overall I think this is a really nice set. With a good variety of pieces, an excellent and detailed instruction book, and the number of different vehicles to build, I think they'll keep my nephew busy for hours. I'd really like to give these 4.5 stars, but since we can't give half stars and I have to round, I'm going to round down (for the annoyance of having to punch the pieces out). Semifinal score will be four stars out of five. As I said, I’ll come back and update this if my nephew loves it and bump the score up. After all, being hit with the kids trumps everything else.
