My old Dyson V6 Animal cordless vacuum was running out of life to I took it all apart, cleaned it, replaced the filters, and replaced the battery with one of these.Removing the battery can be a bit tricky so Google for an instruction video and it will be much easier.The new battery works great, charges normally, and my vacuum is back to its original run time.

I purchased this as a replacement for another non-Dyson battery. The battery I replaced lasted for almost 4 years. So when it came time for a replacement I found this one at a reasonable price and gave it a shot.I purchased it on 13 November 24. It is now Feb 25th 25 and the battery is totally dead. It will not take a charge whatsoever. So I got roughly 2 months of use.I thought I would contact the seller however, I have not found an email address anywhere. It does state that the items are warrantied for 90 days. However not sure how good the warranty is when there is no contact info.I know that it is a mixed bag buying non oem batteries but, less than 3 months use?I am now in the process of ordering another battery but will hold out hope that the seller contacts me in regards to this imo, faulty battery.Looking at total reviews, this product only has a 3.5 sat rating so, if I was you, I would seriously think about whether you should look elsewhere.Finally, if the company is able to make this right, I would be willing to redo my review. We shall see.UPDATE 3/14/25: Company contacted me and said I needed to reset the battery by pressing the start switch on the vacuum numerous times to reset it. I did this and it did not fix the problem. Contacted the company again expecting that they would at least replace the battery but nope. They were still not convinced (I guess they thought I was an idiot who didn't know what he was doing.) . They said they needed me to either send them a video showing the issue or at least pics before they could do anything else.IMHO this is what shady companies do. They state that they stand by their products but when you have an issue with one, they do all they can to not have to refund/replace the product.I will never purchase anything from them again and would recommend that you look elsewhere as well. Matter of fact, if you look at the reviews, there are almost as many 1 star reviews as 5 star. Not a good look for any company.

DO NOT BUY! Great battery! It’s the Dyson vaccuum that sucks… or rather no longer does. The battery worked. The vacuum worked. Then the Dyson did what Dyson’s do and killed the battery… again… DONT BOTHER… buy a different vacuum and NEVER buy a Dyson…

I was initially pleased with this replacement battery for my Dyson V6. It fit perfectly, charged as expected, and brought my vacuum back to life. For the first two weeks, it performed well and held a charge, just like the original.However, after those initial two weeks, the performance took a sharp decline. Despite being fully charged, the battery now only powers the vacuum for 3-5 minutes at a time before abruptly shutting off. After a brief pause, it will work again for another minute, but the cycle continues, making it frustrating and inefficient to use.While I understand that replacement batteries might not always match the durability of the originals, I expected better longevity. I can’t recommend this battery based on my experience, as it seems unreliable and short-lived.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to install and work great a few times, but no longer works only a month later. We use the vacuum for only light spot cleaning so when the original battery stopped holding a charge it made sense to just buy a cheap replacement battery. Well that was just a waste of money. Stopped working just a few days after the return window closed. Just has a red light when we try and change it and doesn't do anything after being charged.Run Time - 0 minCharge Time - Forever

I have my doubts about the claim of 6000 mAh of this battery. The original battery, which is now 6 years old, weighs 14.6 ounces. This new one is only 12.9 ounces. Like another reviewer said, 'How do you get more battery with less weight?' The original Dyson battery is 2100 mAh and this new one is supposed have almost 3x that capacity. But I'm not qualified to assess this claim so I will leave it out of my observations. What I did find was that this replacement definately has more power, it shows with the amount of effort needed to push the vacuum either on bare floors or carpet. I timed the new battery at 14.5 minutes of operation (low setting) on wood floor. I then installed the old battery and the vac ran for 10.5 minutes going over the same floor. Both batteries were fully charged and allow to rest for a half hour after charging. I then re-charged the batteries and did a high power time trial on carpet. The original 6 y/o battery only lasted 30 seconds. The new battery went for 4 minutes 45 seconds. And it did it with so much suction that I got a real workout from the increased friction of the beater brush imbedded in the carpet. In conclusion the battery is competively priced, and it does work well. I had to give only 3 stars because of only 50% more run time than the old battery on hardwood floors. 4 star longevity rating is an optomistic hope the battery will last 6 years like the Dyson did.Update after 5 month of light use: Battery died. I was able to contact the seller because they offer a 12 month warranty. Customer service was very good.

I've been using this replacement battery for about three months now, and it works great. Just thought I share my review. It lasts longer than the original Dyson battery. I just moved to a bigger house and it doesn't run out of battery when I clean the whole place (unlike before in my older, smaller house). I'm also grateful that they are selling it for a fraction of Dyson's price. It has allowed me to save resources (both my own and the environment) by continuing to use my Dyson V7. Thank you!
