Knooking: 19 projects to knit with a crochet hook

I am an avid crochet person. I have tried too many times to count to knit. I have tried books, videos, classes, one to one. All were a waste of time. I simply used yarn in crochet projects. My material wasn't wasted. Some projects and desired results are just better knitted. Browsing the net I came across knooking. I watched a few instruction videos. I thought "I can do that!" I had the correct hooks for Knooking (Denise Interchangeable). Searched Amazon for patterns. I like this book. It has a variety of patterns that uses different types of knooking stitches. A good basic beginner's book. I do wish that yarn color changes were better detailed. I have 55+ years crocheting. This learned at knee of a 80+ year old great aunt. Color changes give me problems. She didn't believe in them. Her motto one project + one color= no mix ups = no wasted yarn

If you are interested in learning how to knook this is a good book to learn with. The method for knooking taught in this book is based on the Eastern method of knitting which for me is easier than the Western method that is taught in the Leisure Learning book. The book also explains how to knook in the round which is beneficial for making hats and gloves. If you are new to knooking, this is an easy and fun way to knit. There are many patterns and it will give you a lot of ideas about what you can knook.

Excellent “how-to” instructions; nice variety of 19 easy, fun projects. However, no yarn weight given (#4, worsted weight, 14wpi, etc). There is errata with this book: example, the men’s scarf has you start with 3 stitches, increase 14 times for a total of 31 stitches. ???

Cute and simple ways to learn knocking if you really don't want to learn how to knit.Decent pictures and the price was right for me when I bought it.

Clear instructions

I am experienced at crochet and bought this to teach myself knooking because I hate knitting with needles. I was expecting the designs to be simplistic and they are which is fine for an absolute beginner. Where it is totally useless is the basic 'how to knook' instructions which are completely unhelpful, just a few unclear photos lacking much explanation. So I had to go back to the internet to find out the basics. Having done that, I have no desire to come back to the clunky, ugly designs here.

this is an ok thing to do but maybe a tad complicated as the knitting and crochet are combined and it maybe easier and less fiddly to master crochet and knitting in there own right rather than trying to combine them, might keep children interested and help them decide whether to be knitters or crochet people

I'm a long-time knitter and a sometimes crocheter so I wanted to learn about this new craft. The book is excellent and describes in detail how you knook. Haven't had a go yet but I think it is just the job for what I want.

This would not load on my Kindle or my PC, finally got it on my ipad. I then found that the patterns in the book left something to guesswork regarding the yarn weights

Bought it as it was different. Easy to do. Looking to buy a pattern book
