Q: Where does the pin go? I have the lens inserted firmly but do not know what to do with the pin.

The pin is supposed to be placed on the lens, not inserted, it helps it stay in line with the magnets holding it up. However, be careful when doing this as I have seen it come off if knocked, sort of flies off the holder.
