Q: Is it waterproof for shower bath and pool?

I have the "dog tag" necklace and it is definitely waterproof

Q: What kind of material is the key chain card made of? Looks like plastic from the photo.

Both cards are made from special synthetic material that is laminated on both sides. They are light and very strong.Unlike most credit cards, where the information is printed on the surface of the card, all information is on the special synthetic material which is protected by thick laminate layer. Information cannot be rubbed off.

Q: Has anyone had medical personnel actually use this card? It seems like a wonderful solution but if no one looks at it...

Good question, Jennifer. I also don't know anyone yet nor have read any feedback on its actual usefulness for its intended purpose. The only time I found out that my emergency data was accessed was when I received an email saying someone had managed to access my account without even scanning the card physically (which was in my possession thousands of miles from the perpetrator). I took it up with dynotag and they said that person probably played around with access codes on the internet and "happened upon" my data. I am so concerned about how my data will be used! Dynotag's only suggestion was to password protect my card or deactivate it when not in use (which is a bit disappointing). And since they have made those suggestions, they have been emailing me several times asking me to take back the one-star rating I gave them (which is also a disappointing approach to customers on their part).

It is not HIPAA compliant Instead of clamping all information down, you decide the security level for your information - password for sensitive bits, and show basic information such as allergies immediately, etc. immediately. More information in the FAQ page.
