APPLIED MEMBRANES INC. Water Softening Filter Cartridge, Ion Exchange Filter Softens Water | Great for Appliances and Washing Machines | 4.5" x 10"

I bought a 3 stage under the sink filter that uses the standard 10" filters, but replaced one of the filters with this softener for use with my espresso machine. My water isn't very hard, but enough to notice a difference at the bottom of the kettle if I use tap water. I replace this filter every 6 months and it works well to prevent scale issues, rather than having to fix it later.

Purchased this along with a large blue filter holder to use for washing vehicles. Hadn’t made my car totally spotless but it’s really close. The water now feels soft and silky. Oh and it sure tastes much better than straight from the tap. Hope it lasts a long time as I love washing my cars when it’s nice outside.

Unit is fine, can tell if it works 100 percent but it does make water softer. Will see if it can be recharged with salt as other can be as resin will recharge with salt tablets and be used again. Unit unscrew to remove resin.

Just installed it one furnace humidifier and will not know how well it does for six months. remind the first of May 2014 to see if it filtered out the hard water deposits.

Little improvement to My hard water. Would like Big Blue to come here and see how it does. Make it work or change advertisement.

Seems to work good and cheap

Purchased this water filter cartridge to use in my car washing pressure washer setup, specifically to remove as many minerals as possible to leave fewer water spots after final rinse. This filter has performed pretty well over the past several washes, leaving behind significantly less water spots than before.Will see how long it lasts but happy with the purchase so far.
