Before purchasing this one I researched many kettles and realised that I just couldn't find one that matched my old Philips eco kettle. Sadly and for some inexplicable reason Philips stopped manufacturing one of their best ever kettles!So I had my work cut to find a good replacement.Research certainly pays off...This slightly smaller than average kettle (1.5 litre as apposed to 1.7 litre) is amazing for the price. It boils 2 cups of water (as indicated on the side) in 65 seconds, and a full kettle in just 3 minutes and 15 seconds! Yes and sadly I did literally stand there with a timer. It was also much quieter than that of my initial attempted replacement model (Murphy Richards equip kettle), extremely noisy!I was a little concerned when I removed it from its box, it felt very light and looked very cheap. That said, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised with its performance. Very impressed with it and I would 100% recommend purchasing this.

It wasn't very quiet in spite of making that claim. The water smelt strongly of plastic for a month but i was unable to find a way to complain. The problem solved itself when it stopped working after 6.5 months. The seller refused to engage, saying I should take it up with the manufacturer (details of which were in the disposed of box! No doubt I could have pursued this but life is, literally, too short. Don''t buy this product

For the price it's really good compared to my last one which was almost double this price. It's actually hot when boiled, not loud so easy to make baby bottles during the night, good size the only downfall is the switch to make it boil sometimes you gotta make sure you press it down as sometimes it catches like halfway but I can deal with that minor issue for a good quality kettle

Bought in April 2023 this was a very good kettle. It was fast, taking only 30 seconds to boil one cupful. It was also quieter than any kettle we ever owned. It worked flawlessly for 6 months before the switch started giving trouble. Occasionally it failed to light up and the kettle refused to boil. We discovered that flicking the switch on and off several times 'reset' it and the kettle would start boiling again. Obviously this is not ideal. If this is a design flaw then it clearly ought to be addressed asap. Maybe we just received a faulty kettle.

If you like value for money for decent product I wouldn't swap it...

Dangerous. Ordered in October 2023 and it suddenly stopped working in January 2024. Checked fuse and contacts to no avail, but in that few months of use it had melted the base, around the electrical contacts, with normal use - a couple of boils per day. I am actually glad it broke as it drew my attention to this, which is a fire and electrical safety risk - I consider the device wholly unsuitable to be plugged into the mains. I am having difficulties now in trying to raise a warranty claim. Amazon sold me a dangerous product but offer very little follow-up help if there is an issue. Care seems to be needed more and more when buying electrics online. If needs must, I will stick to brands I trust, but I replaced this kettle from a local shop where I can return it in person if needed. Would give zero stars if possible.

Wow , this is our second oneDefinitely the best Kettle we've ever had, it is a very fast boiler, it's is so light in weight, easy to see the water level.DEFINITELY WILL BUY AGAIN AND AGAIN
