This single port mounting box worked perfectly for me. I couldn't believe this was not available at any of my local hardware stores. It was inexpensive and came quickly and was easy to install.

These break easily. I will add I’m using it for a cable TV outlet, so probably more stress than RJ-11 or Cat 6 cable. That said, I wouldn’t recommend for a jack that needs to be plugged and unplugged often. For my purpose, it works great as I will rarely need to handle it after installation. It looks better, more finished, than the cable just laying on the floor with a female to female connector between the wall and TV. Sticky pad seems to hold well, but I did drive screws in as well.

Need a ethernet jack in room on baseboards. This did the trick. Installed two connections for options in that office. Would recommend.

The product is exactly what I was looking for and is working fine.

Has a "hybrid" punch down that is weird. I ended up not using it, I don't have anything bad to say about it. It looks and feels pretty sturdy, appears to be of decent quality.

They are about what I expected, not the easiest install but not bad considering. The look and fit is decent and they are staying in place well so worth it for me.

The first of these that I ordered had places on the sides indicating where to squeeze for opening the box. This worked so well that I ordered a second. The second box was different -- must have been the same that other reviewers were expressing their frustration with the mystery of how to open the box without damage. I returned the second box and decided to try one more (hoping to get one like the first box) -- it was the same as the second. Why would a box be designed that is so hard to open? My 1-star rating relates to the second two boxes ordered, but maybe you'll get lucky and get one like my first box. I ended up buying the second one I needed from a local home-supply store.

I bought five double port boxes rated for cat 6. All plastic but sturdy, I used a 110 punchdown tool and it worked well. The first of five had a broken connection of one of the signal lines between RJ45 and punchdown block, turned out to be a tiny break of a copper trace on its internal circuit board. A short jumper across the break fixed it. I also noticed where the punchdown blocks are soldered to the circuit board, half of the pads, 4 out of 8 per block, were never soldered! I opened the other four boxes and found unsoldered pads also in one more. Not only that but many of the soldered pads were only partially filled with solder. Partially filled pads work okay and may work for a very long time but they point to poor quality control. After fixing the problems the boxes work well. I very much like the double stick adhesive pad that comes with each box. The unsoldered pads would almost certainly cause future failures and so you should shop for a different product.
