Awesome Tank! For an easy install here is a great idea - off your OLD tank remove the pressure relief valve - get a sharkbite fitting at home depot which threads into it and slips onto 3/4 pex tubing on the other end. feed this line right into the new tank using hardware store fittings and shark bite fittings and put a tee in the 3/4 pex line someplace where you can screw the pressure relief valve back in also. Just leave the old tank hooked up -my bladder want and this worked slick - a very easy install - no need to remove the old tank and pump switch and all that!

Bought this water tank December 2018 it failed June 2024. Amtrol said it has two more years warranty left but because I bought it through Amazon from Plumbing Planet and not a dealer they will not warranty the tank.UPdate Plumbing Planet has contacted me and has shipped a new tank to replace defective tank under warranty. So it seems to be all good now that new tank is on the way.

Would have been easy to install if right parts had been sold with unit. Tank terrific. Lasted 27.5 years and replaced at first sign of bubble on tank to prevent winter woes digging under house and working in freezing weather. Might have lasted another year but didn’t take the chance.

Just installed this today. It works great the PSI was pre set at a little under 40 PSI as it should be for my 40/60 switch. If was using a 30/50 switch would have had to let pressure out to get it to 28 PSI. We are very happy 100% in perfect condition on delivery. Have a 1.5 HP pump and with 2 hoses full blast pressure didn't drop at all.

Too soon to tell for this one but 2 other Amtrol tanks I use are 20+ years old and still working. The tanks from local building supply stores last about 4 years at the most.

after some research, decided on spending extra on the Amtrol for higher quality/longer service life. Tank is well built, no problems with installation.

good tank but bought it at local plumbing supply for $590

I wanted the best, the box stores in the are only carry the low end cheap brands. The FeD ex delivery was undamaged. It comes precharged at 38 lbs psi. I added air to unit with the air valve as I run a higher system pressure.
