Fantastic product.
Get this for your child. but you should see compatibility of your phone before buying the product. the soft wares needed to be downloaded on to the phone to get this robot going. Try to download the software, if it downloads, its compatible. Sounds silly but that's what it actually is. I got a Samsung Note 9, Galaxy S8+ and a Samsung Tab A. Only Tab A works. Dash soft wares are really educative and fun to play with. This is the first level of programming which your child is getting into.

Good introcduction to robotics for kids
I purchased this from Amazon.com US store during black friday fire sale. It cost me 105 USD and an additional 20USD for shipping coupled with 60USD customs import duty. So a landed cost of around 180USD. Based on my personal experience I would recommend anyone interested with this robotic toy to try importing from US store if possible since the shipping speed is under weeks time. The best option is to ship to some US address if any firend/relative is planning to travel to India and you will save on 60USD customs. Warrenty and other conditions are all the same regardless of whether you buy on India store or elsewhere.Regarding the robot:THe build is excellent (I would expect it to be after paying so much). The accompanieng apps are alos excellent and work on IOS and Android phones (2017+ models Android 8+). Thier compatibility matrix will not list all phones and tablets, so I had to take a small risk that it would work on my Lenovo Tablet and ASUS Zenphone. Being a software engineer I knew I was safe since I had "Blooth LE" hardware which is standard on all phones manufactured in the last 3-4 years. Besides stock android is also an added advantage since Samsung et al do not get to meddle with the firmware and cause compatibility issues.Pro Tip:In case your phone has issues detecting Dash via Bluetooth, please try enabling "location services" in Android settings and most likely it would solve connection issues. WonderWorkshop does not mention this on their site or FAQ, but this is one of the primary reasons why BT connections fail on Androids post ver 7.
