Awesome sensor protection shield with mount included. This is what we needed years ago with our 1st weather station system. It protects the outdoor sensor, to give longer lasting life to it. You can easily apply it to a deck or pole and you can easily slide the shield off, to change sensor batteries when needed. Using this ventilated cover to shield outdoor weather sensors may help solve the issues of weather monitors being so fragile that they are liable to fail after extended exposure to weather. Does that make any sense? Weather monitor sensors that require protection from the weather? But if you don't protect them the elements will soon kill off the sensors and bake the unit into brittle plastic junk.

Keeps transmitter dry and clean

Easy to install. Seems to work as it should. The Velcro that holds the transducer to the unit is a little cheezy, installed it and then removed to unit to add battery and the Velcro came off. But it still works.

This was just what I needed to help protect my outdoor sensor that was getting blown and constantly smashed into a tree and falling to the ground.I’ve not experienced temperature swings have some have indicated being an enclosed case. I’m thinking the air ventilation slots have helped that as I have this device facing due north and is in the shade virtually all day long which I know helps give more accurate readings.Probably a little on the pricey side for a piece of plastic, but honestly, if you love weather as much as I do, it’s worth the investment.

This sensor cover is exactly as described. It is the right size for containing the sensor and protecting it from weather. It comes with the necessary screws and such. Note that this is a cover only, not the sensor which comes with the weather station itself.

bought one for my dad then my aunt had to have it also. They both love it but follow the directions accurately when installing the outside sensor. I had to move my Aunts 2 times because I am an engineer and don't have to read directions.
