Are the planets different sizes?
Hi there, are these planets heavier than water or do they float?I require planets that can be suspended in water and hang straight - thank you.
Where are the asteroids?
can this as a unit (not individually) be hung from a branch or in some manner used as a mobile? Are they strung together?

Small but worth the price

I read the reviews and saw the pictures people posted but was still surprised of how small they actually are. They are cute though and I like how light weight they are. Just now realizing they glow. Using for an art project and will accommodate for the size.

Kids love

Used in my preschool sensory bin. Kids love them. Assortment of sizes. Some small. Possibly choking hazard. Very light weight.

Very, very tiny.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my nephew. I’m hoping he will like it. I am totally blind, so I did not know the size of these planets. I was hoping they were at least the size of a golf ball, but they were more like the size of a ping-pong ball. Anyway, I don’t think he will care and that he will enjoy them immensely. He can add the putty and make them glow all over his room.

Cheaper than most cat toy sets & ♥♥♥

I agree with the previous reviewer who wrote that this is toy way overpriced and should be in a dollar store, especially since the "planets" (plus Pluto) are cheap plastic of terrible quality. They don't reflect reality at all. I mean they barely try. I love astronomy and it took me a bit to guess which planet is which, e.g differentiating between the polkadot gray vs.polkadot light-blue marble (Mercury vs. Pluto?), the purple sphere with a blue stripe and white diamonds (Neptune? Uranus?), or the yellow with orange markings or the orange with red... (Venus and Mars?? Saturn, Jupiter and Earth are sort-of obvious). However, I'm still giving this 5 stars. They were perfect as kitschy decorations on my hat for the March for Science 2017. Afterwards, I recycled them as toys for my kittens. Cats LOVE ♥ these planets and I keep buying them as they get lost under my furniture. This is my third set, plus I bought one for a fellow cat parent friend.

Perfect but one of the planets did not have a loop for the string

I needed this for a hanging mobile and it was perfect since it came with string and the planets already had a little loop to tie the string onto. Some of the planets are weird and difficult to distinguish what planet it is supposed to be, but that didn't matter too much. The only problem was that one of the planets did not have a loop for the string. There was just a hole in the middle of the sphere. This would have been perfect if it wasn't for that one planet without a loop. Overall, it was just what I was looking for. Just be aware that these planets are very small. The largest is probably around 1.5 inches in diameter and the smallest is around 0.75 inches. For my mobile, the small size was no problem but just wanted to make it known.Update: While constructing my mobile, the purple planet slipped off and fell from a height of around a meter or so onto the tile floor and the loop broke. I couldn't afford to lose another planet as I already couldn't use the one that didn't have a loop so I had to use super glue and glue the string to the planet. The planets are made of plastic and are not very durable. I do not think they are worth the price, however, they did work for my need so I'm okay with it.

Perfect cake topper

The media could not be loaded. I bought these to make a space themed cake. It was a little tricky to figure out how to get them to stick to the cake, but when I figured it out it looked amazing! The person I made the cake for said cleaning them off was super easy and her son is loving his glow in the dark planets hanging in his room.

Great for decor!

Worked great for cake decorations! Plus he loves playing with them. They are just hollow plastic. Nothing fancy. He's dropped them several times during play and none have broken so far! Edit: the planets are not very detailed. Uranus and Neptune are missing their rings. The colors on most of the planets are incorrect. So these are more just for fun instead of a learning tool.

A fun addition to a ceiling!

Sure they're plastic, and maybe a bit cheesy, but I like these so much that I bought a second set (one for each kid). You get 9 celestial bodies in the package, so you can still have Pluto with the gang, even though it isn't classed as a planet anymore (I'm partial to Pluto, I don't know why, just give me that), and they glow the dark. They pass the kid-approval test, they can be hung from fairly inconspicuous clear plastic loops on the tops, Jupiter has its dot, and Saturn hangs at an angle and it has its rings! No need to inspect them for perfect accuracy. What more do you want? If you're looking of something more realistic, then visit a science museum and pay more money, but if you want something to hang from the ceiling that adds to a room and gives the impression of the solar system, this will do just fine.
