They are medium in thickness. Although higher quality than your typical off-the-shelf sock, these come with a 2-year performance guarantee; but some of mine have worn out in the heal after 1 year. Wigwam says they will replace if worn out before the guarantee period ends, but customer must pay ship costs directly to send them to Wigwam. Wigwam says they can provide an extra pair of socks to offset ship costs if requested, but I have not yet tried it (planning to send 4 out of 12 pairs back this week).

This is a unisex style. The medium size fits women's shoe sizes 6 - 10. You would be at the end of the range so the heel shouldn't ride up the back of your ankle.

Q: What is the actual size chart for these socks since the chart shown doesn’t even have shoe sizes?

The Large size sock normally fits shoe size 9-12. The XL is usually shoe size 12-15. The 2XL is normally for 15-17. I wear a shoe size 12, but bought the XL size because the L was pretty tight when putting the socks on. The XL does come slightly higher above the ankle, but it is much easier to get on and off.
