Best solution that I could find for function and durability
While not perfect, the Skysiesta was the best non-inflatable solution I could find for our recent trans-Atlantic flights (I'm not a fan of inflatable pillows because of the high incidence of air leaks being reported on some expensive travel pillows). I had to experiment with different ways of positioning the pillow to find what worked best for me (the fabric connecting the two pillows is a trapezoid, not a rectangle, so the pillow works differently depending on which end is up). I'm not sure that there's supposed to be a "correct" orientation, either--I noticed that the company's marketing materials show the pillow being used in both orientations.I'm happy with this pillow, as I was able to find a comfortable position while having my seatback slightly reclined, allowing me to sleep for hours at a time. One key was to pull the bottom of both cushions forward and together under my chin--that seemed to get the pillow locked in on both sides of my head, supporting my head so that it didn't flop over to either side while I was sleeping. As for the bulk factor: I had a couple of extra luggage straps (the adjustable, 2"-wide kind with a plastic snap buckle). We wrapped these tightly around our Skysiesta pillows (in their storage bags) in order to decrease their bulk. It wasn't an elegant solution, but it worked well enough (though I may look for a right-sized stuff sack to use in the future). I should comment that we simply clipped our Skysiestas to our small (underseat) carry-on bags for carting them through the airports, and got no push-back from any of our airlines (American, Alitalia, British Airways), so it's certainly not a universal airline policy that you have to put your travel pillow inside of your carry-on. "Your mileage may vary."

A great solution for me!
Love, love, love this pillow. I have been looking high and low for something I could attach to my high back chair in front of my computer so when I fall asleep, as I invariably do every afternoon, I wouldn't wake up with a my neck killing me since my head always falls to the side. I had tried the horseshoe type of pillow and it was useless, too soft for support, and too bulky behind my neck, so I had high hopes for this one and hallelujah - with a little modification, it worked. I have attached a few pictures so you can see what I did. It isn't elegant, but it works. Fortunately, my chair is an upholstered fabric rather than leather so I was able to insert twist pins without damaging it. To begin, I placed the pillow at the proper height on the chair back, secured it in place by attaching 4 twist pins (one at each corner of the flat piece of fabric) between the two bolsters. Then I pulled the attached SkySiesta strap on the left bolster around to the back of the chair and secured it with another twist pin to keep the bolster stationary. Since there was no strap on the other side, I attached a piece of linen tape to the flat piece, then pulled it around the right bolster to the back and secured it with another twist pin, thus keeping both bolsters fully apart. Now if I fall asleep, my head is comfortably supported by the firm bolsters from falling sideways to either side. No more neck pain! Obviously this would only work for certain situations but if others of you have this same problem a a similar configuration in your desk chair or recliner, this might be of help.

No more sleepless flights to Australia!
I spent quite a bit of time trying to decide whether to by the SkySiesta or the Kuhi Comfort pillow. I travel to Australia twice a year and can NEVER sleep or get comfortable during the 13 hour flight. I have back and neck problems, which contributes to the reason I can't sleep on a plane...unlike my husband who can sleep on a rock! Well, I am SO happy I bought the SkySiesta. It was amazing! With the help of a sleeping pill (it never worked before), I think I must have slept for about 6-8 hours! What I did was pull the flaps on the headrest of the plane seat forward a bit, then slip the SkySiesta behind my head and my head stayed completely straight and comfortable. Your head can't rock from side to side, or even forward as far as I could tell,, but then again, I was in deep REM. As an added benefit, the bolsters block out sound, so I didn't even hear the crying baby a few rows in front! The back of the SkySiesta is just a flat piece of fabric that holds the two bolsters in place, so your head is not pushed forward like with those other travel pillows, which I could never get comfortable with. The bolsters are made of a soft foam and the fabric that it is covered with is super soft.It folds up nice and compact and comes in a little drawstring bag. Also comes with eyeshades, but had my own.Highly recommend this product. I've finally found the perfect travel pillow!

This pillow was pretty awesome. I've tried the neck wrap version
This pillow was pretty awesome. I've tried the neck wrap version, the neck muffler version and the weird long angled side pillow that runs the length of your body - all sucked and didn't support my neck.Flew to Munich and then back from Amsterdam to the U.S. with this on Lufthansa. It held my head up perfectly and was very soft on the skin. No cramps or aches getting off the plane. I did have to adjust the length of fabric to close the gap a bit as my head is smaller, I just used safety pings and folded it once on one side to take it in a half inch. Worked magically at getting the fit just right. It was also great for watching TV and resting my head on the flight, while not sleeping, and a great arm rest as well to avoid the hard arms on the seat.As for earphones, I prefer and use my iPhone earbuds and had no troubles with using both at the same time. No way you can use this with over-the-ear headphones, though, so don't buy this pillow if that's what you plane to use to cancel out noise. If you don't like the sensation of something close to your ears or your head surround either, then I also wouldn't recommend this pillow.
